All in the Name of Good Game

As a rule of thumb, just as in the real world, there are different types of people, and different kinds of players. I have found that in many ways and forms, one usually correlates with the other. In the world of GT there are basically four groups in which people fall.

First are the Leaders. People in this area seem to speak out more about the real goings on inside the environment and call out for support in order to better the environment. They love the game and the people and have the will to right the wrongs. These people tend to play the game more often and find it an outlet to the rest of the world. They wish to make their game a better place to be as they would in their own life.

Second, there are the Joiners. These people play the game often as an outlet but, even though they do not approve of wrong doings, feel powerless to do much about it and thus, they play on. Once a group of so-called "Leaders" are introduced into the environment and demonstrate a set pattern that mimics their own ideals, a joiner is happy to find a place with those who feel the same.

Third, I call the Haters group. These people really like the game yet do not play enough or even as much as they would like due to feeling inadequacy or lack of skill. They feel left out of things and therefore out of sorts. Being as this is a game, these feelings turn to anger, which is released throughout game. They lash out at those that represent to them what they feel they lack in the gaming fields. Through this behavior, a Hater receives a tremendous amount of negative attention and becomes widely disliked. This step is where these people make an effort to either become one of the groups already formed and act in ways which is comfortable to the player, or they canÔÇÖt move beyond this point and continue to increase their level of hate.

And last but not least, the Solos. These people may thoroughly enjoy the game itself but it may not serve as an "outlet" from the world. Though they also may not approve of wrong doings in the environment, they could really take it or leave it. Solos view taking the route into a group or clan is far too much an effort to put into a game. These people tend not to play as much as the other three groups and generally take fun and culture out of the environment.

This has just been my take on things in the world of GT. I have seen many people, clans and such come and go, but these four things always seem to remain the same. This system does not just apply to this game but also other people, places, times and things.
